Thanks Hastings parkrun

It was another beautiful day at Hastings sun glinting of the near millpond flat sea. Thanks to the Marshals and especially the young lady pace runner who dragged me around to chip a massive 54 seconds off my PB to record a time of 27:20. And afterwards to treat my poor old feet and calves a paddle in the gin clear sea. Just perfect ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘

The Welsh air must have done you good Runsome; what a brilliant time for you today. You obviously didnโ€™t do the shoes any harm in those puddles last week. Hoorah! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘

I think it was near perfect conditions today with not a breath of wind.

Thanks Dexy5 it must have done something and my poor shoes were washed and given a warm holiday for a few day. Your right the conditions were perfect although it did get a tad warm towards the end ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ‘

Itโ€™s great to think we are all running at the same time every Saturday.

As always I paused at the word gin, which made it an interesting statement and a half at that point ๐Ÿ˜‚. Oh to have a paddle after a run, I need to move.

Congratulations on the PB, thats a nice chunk to knock off it.

Hi UnfitNoMore thanks I was happy with such a big chunk. Can you imagine if the sea was gin we wouldnโ€™t get anywhere near the sea for the crowds ๐Ÿ˜€

Maybe not.., but I could make a fortune with a truckload of ice and tonic!

Yay Runsome! And an awesome PB to boot! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

When I first read your post I thought you said youโ€™d gone off for a gin at the end! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

Thanks CC Iโ€™m weโ€™ll pleased but not enough for gin I tried it on holiday and it was still as bad tasting as I remembered. which is a shame because there seem to be so many varieties now and I really wanted to like it, I guess Iโ€™ll just stick to the occasional beer ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜€

UTS and I will have to do some parkrun tourism.

Would love to see you both! Hastings is a great parkrun - especially if you want fast times. Dame Kelly Holmes chose it for her parkrun PB ๐Ÿ˜

Southsea is 2nd easiest in terms of elevation and Hastings is 40th so maybe you should visit us! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Interesting list Dexy. I always think of Hastings as being really easy as there's only one small slope at about 2.25km. My son's done Eastbourne and found it considerably harder although it's easier according to the list.

I want to do nearby Bedgebury when I'm fully fit and have been told to expect a time at least 10% slower than my Hastings PB - it's 496th on the list ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Good luck. We did Hyndburn Lancs at no 479th In the summer. Eeeh they make em tough oop north.

Haha! My son said the 28 pacer was fast - he finished in 28 mins dead and she was well in front of him! Well done for keeping up - that's a huge PB.

I'll hopefully be up to running next week but at a much slower pace than my PB x

I thought the same earlier when you said it was quick. It will be great to see you running again no matter what pace ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
