Am I back on track, I hope so ...

I've been back from Oz for nearly 4 weeks now, my runs the first week went ok but since then it's been one thing or another and I just haven't got back in the groove. I blame it on a cold and cough that just didn't want to leave me alone and the bad weather ... I really don't like running in the rain particularly when it's blowing a gale.

So this morning when the sky was clear and the sun was just rising I decided I needed to get out there. It does mean I'll miss Parkrun tomorrow but as the weather forecast isn't looking too good I think I've made the right decision.

Just 4K today but I enjoyed it. It was a bit chilly to start but as we all know you soon warm up and I was as sweaty as usual by the end.

Nothing particularly exciting happened while I was running but a nice young man with his dog ran past me, we exchanged a few words about the beautiful morning and he wished me a 'good day' as he carried on past.

So a good start to the day and I'm feeling positive for next week's runs when hopefully I'll increase my distance again .... if not my speed, I'm still very slow!

Just a word of warning ...there's a lot of wet slippery leaves on ground at the moment so take care!

Have a good weekend everyone ... happy running!

Hi Wizziewood, glad to hear you're getting back into it. I agree about the weather - if possible, run when it's sunny! 🌞

Yes, those leaves are lethal aren't they? And you can never tell what's lying beneath them 😭

That sounds a nice run, welcome back.
