Seriously back on track ....

I don't usually run on a Friday because I like to do Parkrun on a Saturday but when I saw tomorrow's horrible weather forecast and compared it with the beautiful morning today I decided to run.

So pleased I did, I ran 8.5k which I feel puts me back on track. I had run 9.5k a few weeks ago before a calf problem dumped me on the IC for a while.

I've been gradually building up again so fingers crossed my next long run in a few days time will be the 'big' one ... 10k! (hope I haven't tempted fate!)

Have a good weekend, happy running everyone!

Sounds like you're well on track for the 10 so just enjoy it as much as you can. Good luck 🙂

Thanks!

Nearly got there back in February so will be pleased to finally achieve the distance (must keep my fingers firmly crossed!)

Definitely right about changing to today, went for a walk at lunch time and it was glorious.

Be careful about doing 10k 2 days after having done your longest run, 1 long run a week would be better.

Thanks, I'm intending to do a short run Sunday or Monday then try for 10k Wednesday or Thursday.

Glad your enjoyed today's weather, tomorrow is looking really cold again.

Tell me about it.. tomorrow was meant to be another 10k run. Not bothered by the cold one bit but hate the wind.. brrr.

Thanks Mummycav .... happy running to you too!

Well done for the 8.5k. I would have taken advantage of the window of opportunity before more snow yesterday, but te wind was evil, so I resigned myself to te treadmill ☹️
