I wasn’t expecting a discount, but when they asked if I ran with a club I mentioned the canicrosss group I belong to and the guy behind the till said, “With X and Y?” then gave me 10% off, so I bought some socks as well 😃

Yup! I had the Glycerine. The Ghost is really popular too. My neice just bought the Ravenna, for our race for life together in a few weeks
Years ago, I used to wear the Ghosts when I was walking a lot of miles. But when I tried them last year they were not right at all. I ended up with the Launch ones and the tops started giving way after 2 months 😕
These are constructed differently, but if the same thing happens again I will not be buying any more.

The Launch were £15 cheaper than the marked price of these ones I bought today - I just went and looked at the box!
I think I’ve definitely got a lot more shoe for my money this time.
I've been wearing ghosts for the past 6 months. The top of one now has 2 holes in it though, and they're getting a bit thin on the sole so I'm revving up to buy some new ones. Is it the glycerins which have 25% more cushioning than the ghost? I haven't seen them in the flesh yet but had a wee browse on brook's webite a couple of weeks ago. I'm running up to 7 miles now, and might go further if I can keep my problematic feet and knees happy . Thst's why I thought extra cushioning might be just the thing ... so long as it doesn't feel like running through marshmallows! How did you find the ghosts vs glycerins?

The glycerines have plenty of cushion.

My old Balegas are white with tiny bit of blue. These are a lot more ‘me’ 🙂

I only wear mono skins- oh with the exception of some Decathlon socks that are only twin as far as the instep.
Proper twin skins feel wrong.
That was the name I was root,in around in my brain for, mono skins. I have both anklets and the longer over the ankle ones.
