Injured from dog walking

Ironic, runs miles and no injury, I walked my dogs on Sunday for two hours and pulled a muscle in my leg and bum, gutted can’t run this week. Got a massage Friday so hope it will sort me out. So miss my running. Hope you are all ok out there running you lucky people.

I often think that when walking my dog. What if I trip, what if she careers into me and takes me out at the knees like my old Lab did once, what if I step on her tennis ball and turn an ankle?

It’s such a nuisance, want to scream as going to miss a park run on Saturday, my frirnd’s 50th one, will have to go and cheer her on instead.

Yep, tricksy little critters ! Took our OES for a snow walk last November; ended up with a spinal fracture after doing a Fosbury Flop on black ice ! Funny bit was Molly trying to drag me in the direction of the cafe because she hadn't been to see her pals! Still, it was sitting around unable to do anything and getting very weak in the muscles and unfit which got me thinking about couch to 5k. Heavily disguised blessing! Sure you will come back stronger, it's how we runners are made.😊

Unbelieveable injury, I don’t know. How people go running with the dogs and don’t come a cropper. Glad you have got through the other end and now running Beachcomber. Lovely of you all to reply to me, grateful thanks

My borrowed dog is injured! Looks like he has something in His paw. Vets tonight. I might try and get his foot into some hot water and Epsom salts if he’s amenable ( highly unlikely 🙄)

I find that walking injuries seem to vanish when i run - but i guess it depends how bad they are. hope it gets sorted x
