Well, what a fantasic run the Coventry 10k is. I was born in Cov, my dad too and my grandmother also. The War Memorial park really is a lovely place to run. The start was at the large memorial, which is a tribute to all the lives lost in the blitz of the second world war which devistated the city.
It was rather chilly this morning but "dress for the second half of the race" is some trusty advice from the guy in my local running shop. So trusty wolfrun tshirt on my well worn and comfy Asics booties...it was chuffin cold lining up π
The course its self is 3 circuits of the park. Which itself is quite flat with some gentle inclines and a nice down hill run to the finish.
My target was to go sub 60 mins and try to beat my pb which was just under 59mins. To put this in perspective...the time i completed the run in i set a 5k pb on the first half of the course....wow!!...only then to beat new pb on the second half....holy chuff
Finished in a time of 54:30 according to my app....
Thank you C25K team π piccy of bling attached π π π
