My running has been very hit and miss, all the usual excuses, work, weather and hormones. Ive managed to get out once a week running 5K but its been a struggle.
Today (second run this week) felt absolutely toxic for the first 2K , legs like lead , breathing rubbish ,head saying go home a complete nightmare .
Then everything changed and it started to feel much better ...thank god

Absolutely. I really struggled towards the end of my run today & had to kick those gremlins into touch I much prefer the runs when the head is clear and lets me get on but they seem to be few and far between
yes it got to me too. I had to set myself a virtual challenge for the month to give me the motivation to get up in the dark and go. I am pleased to say it is working and i am getting up easier to go do it. Still alien to me that i am up in the cold/dark to run This is my first winter too so i need to keep the momentum or else i think i would just stop.
What time do you normally do your runs? Maybe doing them in the mornings before everyone is up would help...at least that way you know you have the evening to chill and be snug and warm.
