Went out this morning to try for my first sub 30 minute Parkrun with the help of the 'first Saturday of the month pacers' - and did it. Woop woop! Strava gave me 15 achievements! 5 personal records from 0.5mile to 5K!
Strava shows 29m 20s for the 5K although Parkrun official time was 29m 45s.
Either way, I am very, very chuffed
Great start to my weekend. Happy running everyone, have a good one

Its beautiful. All through the trees which looked fab in this morning's sunshine. The pacers really help get me going from the start. Maybe there's one with pacers close enough to you for you to try out some cheeky Parkrun tourism 😀
Yes I think we might try that in the summer but walking down to Southsea instead getting in a car for half an hour or more is a no brainer at this time of year. Maybe we should try somewhere else when the gales blow though.
It's great isn't it. Well done to you too. I've done sub 30 in a race for life and once by myself, but this is a good minute faster than my previous attempt at Parkrun. What I'm particularly happy about is setting out with the intention of doing it, and of following through. Maybe one day a sub 29 minute who knows 😀
Well done Linda! Delighted for you! PBs of all forms are such fun. But this one must be a higher form of fun. I am remembering your mixed experience at the GSR, so even more pleased you should have this Parkrun high! 😊 👏🏻👍☀️🥂🍾🎉🏃♀️🤸♀️🏃♀️🤸♀️🏃♀️🤸♀️
Exactly! You've got it in one there. I'm banishing ghosts. I CAN still find that high, that sense of satisfaction. In fact, there is only the one occasion that it has been missing. Perspective and confidence. Being restored 🙂💪
