Just got in after the Keswick Parkrun. My usual 34+ minutes for the 5K. It was also the 5K element of my first week on Juju's magic road to 10K.
I have to say that the 5.5K on Thursday was easier, but maybe I am pushing more when surrounded by healthy people. Oh golly! the girls were beautiful in the sunshine and their running kit - I didn't see anyone with capris like Flick's. π’ You can tell from the pic that it is sunny, very few under the awning...
I'll edit in the results when they come out this afternoon. Strava thinks I did some PBs anyway. π³
Edit: as promised the official result:
Place: 209th of 252. Time: 34:38. Age Grade: VM65-69 49.81%.
Male: 125th
New PB!
I'd really like to get that age grade over 50%....

Well done! Looks lovely weather there! We felt lucky not to catch a torrential downpour at Birkenhead! ππββοΈβ€οΈ
Love the picture. Jolly well done for the run as well, smashing time! Nobody was wearing anything very bright when i did park run either: I wore purple leggings with stars on, and just about everybody commented on them.. i think the colourful capris and leggings come out at race time, from the posts I see on Facebook.
Well done, another PB for you, great place to run despite a few hills, that is a nice place to start the race, a former railway station, who knows, one day in the future they might even reopen that railway line for passengers, it is happening in many areas of both England and Scotland.
Well Done on another parkrun theoldfellow, a good time too. Once you start running those longer distances I bet you will get quicker at 5k. But yours does include hills so it looks brilliant to me. πββοΈπ
Huge well done you!!! Looks perfect! I am on Ju's plan again.. third time after the IC... it helps me get back on track... Week 2 for me.. 6 K tomorrow
