Well, after the excitement of Sunday’s 10k, it was back to parkrun this morning. Official time was 33.51, which was 11 seconds slower than my last one, and I was 368th out of 441. However, Strava said I did 5.2k and my 5k time was a PB of 32.25. My first time in under 33 minutes. Woohoo 🙌. Have a great weekend everyone!

Congratulations on a great time at this mornings Parkrun, I suppose you have to go for the official Parkrun time of 33.51 but if you wish you can use your PB time of 32.25, which incidently is exactly the same as my PB 5K time that I ran, not at a parkrun but around a route not far from where a I live. 😊

Thanks Al! I’m definitely going with the faster time 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ After all, it is a 5k time and doesn’t count the extra bit from starting some distance behind the start line! 😂

In August I got a new Smartphone and installed Mapmyrun, I ran a 5K on 10 October and according to Mapmyrun I ran it in 33.40 BUT according to the split times at 5K it said 32.25. Obviously I think I should count the quicker time as a PB. It could make all the difference if someone wants to ran a sub 30 minute 5k and the bold figure says 30.15 but the split 5K is 29.40. I know which time I would go for.

Well done Sandie, are you doing New Year’s Day too? I think numbers on the 5th will be really high with new year’s s resolution runners!

Thanks Dexy! Unfortunately there isn’t a NYD one less than about 40 miles away from here, which is a bit too far. I suspect you’re right about 5th though 😫

Super running Sandie!🙌

Well done! 🤩
