Well, it's official. I'm a runner. I posted about a week ago about taking a few weeks off after reaching a pretty strong distance. Two days later however, I got a new job where I basically walk for 7 hours everyday and so because this is an incredible opportunity for me, I decided I would have to stop my morning runs so I wasn't too tired for the job... Yeah, that's not happening. I am ten times more confident, successful and relaxed after a good run so I'm gonna start with 3 miles every morning and see if that leaves me a pile by the end of the day. It's not the exiting goal I had a few weeks ago but I gotta make sure this job is successful and I figure running 21 miles and walking 65 will still get me to my first marathon in Feb. Thanks to everyone so far who encouraged me. I'll keep you guys posted.
Gotta get my run in: Well, it's official. I'm... - Bridge to 10K
Gotta get my run in
Nothing will keep you from running will it Chris? I know just how you feel!
Good luck with your new job with all its walking - just imagine how fit you’ll be fitting in your running too. Amazing determination! And to have a marathon in your sights too! Wowser, good for you! 👏👏👏🏃🏃🏃
Fantastic positive attitude. I find when i don't run, my energy levels go down, so if you can manage it why not? There is strength and determination in your attitude.
Sometimes circs change and we rethink our plans. I’m sure you’ll work it out so you’re not over-tiring yourself
Running and walking go well together in training and on race day. if you get your training miles in then you’ll be ready. 💪👍😃
Wow well done BigChris, you will have to change your name to superfitchris!!
