Went out with the intention of trying to do 10 k in about 70 mins but felt good after 5 so decided to go for it, ended up by taking more than a minute off my PR, so well pleased with that

Wowsers! Great time! πππ
I bow to gazelles such as yourself! Brilliant time, brilliant run! ππππ
Sure you don't want to change your name to Thompson? Either that of a gazelle, or Mr Daily Thompson!
Fantastic Steve - well run! π₯ x
Well done, Steve! Glad to hear youβre still getting out there! πβ€οΈπββοΈπ₯
Thanks MD, still here, still plodding away, spend more time on Strava now, but still keep an eye on what is going on here, great to see new generations of C25K ers starting and finishing their journeys
I keep wondering if I should try Strava. I canβt seem to workout how to get even basic stats from the free version when my Garmin uploads to it, though! Am I missing something, or do you guys upgrade to the paid version? π€β€οΈ
I have upgraded to the paid version but as I have linked my Garmin to Strava what stats come from where is a bit blurred π
I just took another look, and discovered Iβd not realised there were more screens to swipe through to on the free Strava data! So I can see elevation / pace and HR graphs now! (Iβd have liked cadence too, but I can check the Garmin Connect app for that.)
Guess I need to set my account up as public and work the social side out next...
The more the merrier! Look forward to seeing you on there too
Iβm the weird person who just asked to follow you! You may vaguely recognise the photo. (No idea how to find people from on here as we donβt use our names! πππ)
Great time - well done! πππ
Speedy run, wow! Well done!
Wow, thatβs fast congratulations on PB π
Well done Steve... must be the sheer joy of being out there after all the dreadmill running recently! Great run πββοΈππΌ
Thanks all, it is good to be back outside and more importantly injury free, definitely need to work out my winter running wardrobe though, looked like I had been kitted out from the lost property box yesterday lol
Wow that's amazing!! had a cold so have not been able to graduate c25k yet - I tried but was not good so now waiting until cold goes a bit. very inspiring time don't think will ever get there but maybe can do 5k in that time
Hi JJB001 you do right to wait until your cold has gone before pushing on and ad for pace and distance etc. When I started C25K in April this year I really struggled with W1R1 so there is no one more surprised than me that I can now run 10k in a few minutes more than an hour. I think the important thing is to achieve your own goals, don't worry about whatever other people are doing, on Strava I see people who run 10k everyday in forty odd minutes. I will never do that and don't want to, but I use it as a source of inspiration to challenge myself to run a bit further and a bit quicker.
Thanks! Will definitely do that, 're tried r3 today even with a bit of cold so think means I graduate. Not sure I could do 3 times in a week but feels good to have done at least three times so k ow can do again, then it's can I run little faster
Go Berksrover!! Fantastic achievement!! That feeling of ready to go for it during a run is the absolute best! Well done you!! ππ½ππ½ππ½πβ€οΈ
Thanks Fabulous450 the best thing at the moment is that I am really enjoying my running, I remember your posts about happy running, didn't think that was possible for me, but managed to get to that happy place π
Brilliant time! Well done πππ
