Been off the forum for a while, questioning whether I’m a “proper” runner but after a few good weeks running with an awesome friend im back on track. Enjoying it and getting better every time I go out. Feeling stronger and more confident so hoping I can do this 10k justice in November. I have done a virtual 10k and lots of my own 10ks but the only other 10k I entered I was ill so couldn’t do it. This one I will be running with others so I feel more confident .

My park runs started at 39 , even 40 minutes in April . I got them down to 37 but today I did 34.40 . I was so happy and my son really helped keeping me going .

Ps I also marshalled for the Robin Hood Half marathon a few weeks ago and loved it. Try it if you’ve got free time , injures, or just don’t fancy running. My next volunteering will be at a local parkrun.

Also looks like my son is getting the running big as he wants to do parkrun next week even though I’m away so I’m pleased about that .

Happy running all xx

Whoo! Parkrunning with family! I love it.

That looks like a picture (and definitely the post) of a 'proper runner', whatever that is!

Well done :)
