Birthday run ends in a fall

Well I hit 45 today and can't believe I am still running. It's now been just under 9 months since I started couch to 5km and today I ran 14km in just over 1 hour and 20 mind. A far cry from the struggle to rum for a minute in January. I started as a balding small 14stone lump and am still bald and small but less lumpy at 12 stone. I love the 5k Park runs. Did a 10k fun run. 5k mud run. 10k virtual run. 10 mile virtual run, 1 mile nyrr 1 mile virtual run. Furthest run 16k. I have had many highs and the lows of injury and low motivation. Excuses not to run. But overall it's been a blast. Even today I had a first. Not a high I am afraid. My first fall grazing elbow. Leg. Knee and hand. You take the rough with the smooth. Happy running all

Well done to you bertiesugar for participating in all the above mentioned runs. Wasn't it you who had a holiday in Balloch in August or I am thinking of someone else.?.

Yes that was me. Running alongside river leven was a lot better than the Coventry canal. Much better pathways there

Sorry about the fall Bertie and also sorry for not wishing you a happy birthday on my previous post to you but I will correct that now by wishing you a very happy birthday and just hope you will recover quickly from that fall.

Happy birthday bertiesugar. Well done on your weight loss and your super running to 16k. It seems to have been a week for falling, I tripped and flew to the ground too. I hope your injuries are minor
