... pretended to be “Runner 0 in the Forest of Fear” (Radio Abel), whilst pretending to be “Runner 5 in Zombies, Run”, whilst pretending to be a runner in the South of Africa (COGH), whilst pretending to run “End to End” (LEJOG) but....
... running for real in the now and here!
Not the best of my run, probable due to yesterday’s second jab, but I’m happy!
Also signed up for a small virtual 5k for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, end of May. Didn’t want to push myself too fast going back up to 10k, but still wanting to be part of an event. And as I miss Scotland terribly (used to live there for 10 years) this was perfect. But 5k seems to just be a normal distance now, and I wish there was a 7.5k distance for the likes of me. (The Finns have one!)
Happy running everyone!

So many virtual runs all at the same time 😊 Congratulations on signing up for the Edinburgh 5k, it's nice to be part of an event even its a virtual one. Weeks ago I signed up for the 10k, thankfully you can do it anytime within the 12 months.
Yeah, that was the other issue that made me go for 5k rather than 10k, as I am not sure I can run it on a specific day. Still a bit of lack of confidence about long distances, but it’ll come.
Yay! There are a few of us doing the 10k. I've done the actual live 5k event twice - once in the EMF and another time in a January event when it snowed! Its a lovely route but a bit brutal - I've run it a few times recently to get some hills in. See photo.
Nice! That’s what I’ll be working towards to, then. Still not sure if I’m ready to run with „real“ people, but the real EMF 10k can be my aim for the next 2 years!
