Hi all. I'm thinking of starting Laura's podcasts - Stepping stone, stamina and speed. I graduated in August and have been doing 30 to 40 mins runs and a few parkruns. I'm wondering if I can do the podcasts along with Ju-Ju's plan 5k to 10k?? How far are the runs in the podcasts? Any advice be good. Thanks 😀

All different.. and all fun..but challenging.. teaching us a lot about the disciplines in our running:)

Stepping stone podcast, a 30-minute continuous run.

Speed podcast, a 16-minute run alternating fast and slow sections specifically designed to improve your speed.

Stamina podcast, a 35-minute run with music to keep you running at a faster pace for longer.

So how far you get is up to you:)

I don't like Stepping Stones.. ( like Marmite..you either love or loathe) but I adore Speed and Stamina:)

All incredibly useful!! I did each one three times over.. 1 week of each... found it really helpful after Graduation and the consolidation running:)

Thanks oldfloss. I understand that they are different. But I was just thinking... say if I completed a podcast and covered 5k during it,then could this count as my 5k for one of the weeks in Ju-Ju's plan? Or am I being a bit sneaky and just trying to do everything at once?!? 😂 Thanks

Hi Deals1 , I occasionally like to go back to the podcasts, just for a change, like Oldfloss though, I like the speed & stamina ones but not really the stepping stones one...the speed one takes some keeping to because the beat is actually slower than my natural pace so I have the odd ‘out of time’ step and like Floss says, the distance depends on you, enjoy them

I can't get on with the choice of music, but the science behind it seems very good.

Did you finally try to do the podcasts along with Ju-Ju's plan 5k to 10k?

Hi. No I didn't. To be honest I didn't really try them again. Maybe I should have. I like some of the Nike run runs.. Esp coach Bennett and the headspace ones. But recently have actually not been using headphones that much. I'm pretty sure I could do these podcast as part of the bridge tho. Whatever u decide good luck n have fun. Keep us posted
