Well this morning I set off for my first attempt at this podcast. I was feeling quite positive and kinda looking forward to it... How wrong could I be.
Forgot my glasses, it was bin day -phew!, Sun came out, wind, flies, debris. Plus the main thing was I just couldn't keep up! I'm a bit of a plodder and think the pace was too fast for me at the start, so I just felt tired too soon! I had to keep stopping for a quick walk and honestly couldn't wait for it to finish. Also I found it difficult to run to the beat, never did have good coordination. Found myself repeating 1, 2, 3 , 4, 1, 2, 3 , 4 and concentrating on this maybe too much.? Partner sometimes says I'm like corporal Jones (dad's army.. for those that can remember!l as I'm often clapping a at a different speed to everyone else at shows etc. π
Anyways I was glad when it was over . However, despite my issues I might try it again in a few weeks, as Laura did have good advice about techniques, posture etc... Which I found very beneficial.
Maybe it was just a bad run in general, but I reckon still better than an extra hour in bed, maybe π

There is no pace in the podcast to struggle with. Pace is all in your head. The podcast only suggests a cadence/tempo to run to. If you're finding it too fast then you need to take smaller strides.
I stuggled a lot with these podcasts after c25k as noone was around to explain the science. But ideally we should be running with a cadence of 165 to 180 which helps prevent us overstriding and also by forcing more quicker steps helps ensure we are less likely to heel strike.
As a tall runner at 6'3' with long legs my cadence was naturally quite low even though my pace wasn't bad, so my initial response to these podcasts was just to go faster to try and keep up with the 'pace' as I wasn't altering my stride length to compensate.
So for the stamina one, consider reducing stride length if you find it is too hard or your going too fast, but persevere as the reward to your running form of a faster cadence and turnover is immense.
