Completed my first outdoor run this morning...ever! Did the whole C25K programme on a treadmill in a gym as was too chicken to go outside and I began in March! Only did 32 mins and no idea of my pace but I did it! Felt as though I could actually get some air in my lungs. Feeling chuffed with little old me πββοΈπ

First Outdoor Run π
Great! Well done for getting out there, Ally - itβs a big step if you are only used to treadmill running.
Itβs a glorious time of year for outdoor running, and the joy of the outdoors is that there is so much to distract you! I work in an office, so my time outside is critical for my mental and physical health - fresh air and a chance to be amongst trees and nature. π
Keep up the good work!

Well done Ally, I hope you will continue to enjoy running outdoors, breathing in the air, and witnessing the change in seasons. Although I guess it does depend where you live. I did a lot of my c25k running on a treadmill because of the snow and ice and may head back into the gym mid winter, but will enjoy it outdoors while I can. Also now you have been outdoors you can now try a Parkrun. You can brisk walk and then run it.
Yay, well done! Outside running is just the best thing ever πͺπππββοΈ
Thanks Dexy. Iβve no excuse for not running outdoors as we live in an area surrounded by open space. Itβs been a confidence issue in running outdoors thatβs prevented me from doing it sooner. I will no doubt return to the treadmill at some point but I really want to increase the outdoor runs and maybe eventually try a park run ππΌββοΈ
Good on you. Be proud that you are now a runner πββοΈπ
Wrll done on your first outdoor run Ally, you did brilliantly!
Autumn is a lovely time of year to be running outside...
Happy outdoor running πx
Well done - this is a step you won't regret! ...and there is no 'only' about a 32 min run, so don't put your achievement down! Good luck with the next one too!π
