To 10k and beyond!

Well... I was aiming for 10k, but seemed to overshoot a bit today. I learned that after about 6k I slow down because my legs just don't have the umph needed to keep a good pace going, but that I can carry on moving, albeit at a snails pace. So I'm hoping things will speed up a bit the more practice & distance I put them through. Actually, this was quite a hard run, mostly cross country and mostly uphill for the 1st 5k, so perhaps no wonder my legs felt bit tired! The picture was taken at about the 8k mark - it's like the light at the end of the tunnel...
