The road beyond 10K

Monday with blue skies, not a rain cloud in sight what a treat πŸ™‚.

School drop off and quick pop to the shops to assist Mrs Wife, then on with the dried out trainers πŸ‘ normally I've set myself a distance on the Garmin but today I turned off the pace reminders and just hit the start run button, after fighting to get my temperature right the gloves came off, the buff was removed and wrapped around my wrist I at last settled into a comfy rhythm, but heck it was a struggle 😬πŸ₯΄. And that was it clicked and I started to find a pattern to my running. 5k down and head for home. The watch told me I'd done my 10k but but but I don't want to get stuck at 10.... What's beyond πŸ•΅οΈ 11 phew ok it's only a solitary kilometre but that's a relief I've crossed that mental barrier and now I can see what's around the corner so to speak πŸ€—.... Little by little that HM distance will arrive eventually 🀞

Happy Monday running everyone....πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

It's nice to head out for a whatever run with no pressures of time, pace or distance. And then to take it a little further is perfect! One step at a time with small weekly increases will get you there, if that is the next goal. Enjoy the journey!

Hi saskAcat... It was nice removing the need to distance and the pace reminders, it was as cleansing as removing the music ( which I disposed of way back) naked stripped back running, it's a beautiful thing πŸ‘

Fantastic effort what a way to start the week. Somehow adding 1k when you are already at 10 is easier than heading out to do 11 in the 1st place. I understand your heating problem, so difficult to gauge on cold crisp days. Gloves on off on off. Happy running

Wow that’s all i can say

It took me nearly that long to cover 6k in the wind and rain the other day so i am well impressed

11k? Great - don't know how you do it without music or anything else tbh. I can't imagine what marathon runners think when they're running - I just keep coming back to how I don't think I can manage it and how of course I can etc etc - you know the drill πŸ™„πŸ˜©πŸ€ͺ

Bet you a jelly baby you're there before you know it

As long as it's a red one!

I did do some music less running along the promenade in France and I did enjoy just listening to the sea and the gulls but alas the only thing I hear now I'm back home is the thud of my feet and my puffing and panting 🀣

πŸ™

Ahhhhhhhhh see so you can do this naked running malarkey..... But that this of your feet and the huffing and puffing becomes how can I say melodic, as you start hearing yourself and it gives you soooooo much more feed back!!!

( I kinda like the red ones, but you're on for a green one πŸ‘€)
