Laying in bed was ok yesterday but by the afternoon it was getting too much. I think it was enough to get me back to having a better sleep.
Now this morning I knew I wasn’t going to repeat the partial duvet day again! 😣 Although there’s still a bit of 🤧 going on, I felt up to the aptly named “recovery run” of 2k in my programme. So I’m out! I even got out the shorts today! Why not? I thought that may help to keep me cool in case I went into river mode again! 😅
And 2k was lovely! A nice bit of warmth on the skin, running around the wider field of Little Park. There’s not a lot to see, but it was nice to be outdoors. A comfortable 2k in 16 minutes! I did feel a little burning breathing through the nose, but nothing too off putting. I’ll have it! 😃 I feel so much better now too.
I’m hopeful to be back out on Sunday, but I’m not sure if it will be a run on the programme if it’s due to be a long one. 🤔 Running will still be here when I’m fit enough to do it. 😍
Happy running everyone! ❤️

Thanks Jelon. I think that run was just what the Dr ordered. Feeling so much better. Probably the endorphins, but I’ll have it! Evenings get a bit tricky, but not bad at all so far. 😁❤️
Aah thanks Dralimc! I’m out this afternoon for late lunch with some friends. I didn’t think I’d be making it, but feeling ok. I’m craving an ice cream rather than the food. Hopefully I’m not passing on any germs. 😬❤️
I ran through mild colds last winter (usually only 2 or 3km) and I swear it helped with any congestion! Only time I wouldn’t run is if I am extremely feverish/fatigued or chesty. Glad it blew away some cobwebs; well done on getting out there. Hope you are back up to 100% soon, Fab. x
Well done, but don’t go too mad until you’re fully better! ❤️🏃♀️❤️
I’m impressed you can breathe through your nose at all with a cold! 👍😊 (It’s something I fail at completely, as my nose always feels swollen inside even when I’m fine. I just had to ignore all Laura’s nose breathing advice and accept it wasn’t going to work at all...😕)
