Hey Runners
Iβve just got back before the darkness sets in. Iβm usually a morning runner, but I was straight into work this morning and kept putting it off. π€«
To be honest I contemplated not bothering quite a few times this evening, even with the gear on! But my awareness of faffing, also makes me give myself a boot up the hiney!! Itβs time to go!! π’
I chose the aptly named βEnd of Day Headspace Runβ (25 mins) to substitute for a mostly unguided 2k in my programme (not feeling like free wheeling tonight π). I started nice and slow, which is what Headspace is all about really. Thatβs why I love them! Its just about the joy of running!! And it was brilliant!! I had so much energy towards the end that I was doing quite a commendable for me 7:18, without even noticing it. π―
Well thereβs nothing like a run to mark the end of the day. Letting go of all thoughts and just moving!! Amazing!! 3.35k in 25 mins. Not bad Fabulous, not bad!! π! So glad I went!! ππ
11 days until the Charity run!! π Iβm feeling ready!
Happy running everyone!! β€οΈ
Nice run for you Fabulous, yes, running takes the tension out of a workday, wish you luck for your charity run in 11 days. September is one of the main months for all those 10k, half and full marathons as it is Autumn in the UK, USA and Europe. I am looking forward to resuming my running after a short break due to a sore hip and spectating at my local 10K and watching on the TV both the Great North Run and the Great Scottish Half Marathon.
Ooh it was AlMorr! Ooh my run is only 5k! Iβve not started the journey to 10 yet, but it will be nice to watch those runs youβve mentioned now that Iβve started running too! Never thought of that! Good shout! π I might even pick up some tips! π
Wishing you a good recovery and back out on the run soon! β€οΈ
Usually, when I watch those events on the TV, sometimes during a short break they have mentioned and put on a short video of Laura promoting C25K for people who would like to start running and get fit.
π Thatβs great! If Iβd watched sooner maybe Iβd have done this a while ago, but better late than never as they say! πβ€οΈ
Hi allan when are they on ?
The Great North Run is on the 9th September and will be shown throughout the UK. The Great Scottish Run on the 30th September is usually on television as well, however, it has on the past few years been only in Scotland that you can see it, but with all the Internet and satellites, you may also be able to watch that event elsewhere in the UK
Thank you allan ..hope your hip is much better and you start running soon π
Yes, it is much better thank you, no pain whatsoever, I got a brand new Smartphone on Saturday, I downloaded the C25K app on it this afternoon and chose Laura as my coach. As I have already graduated I thought as there has been about a month or more since I ran, I will recap all the runs with the app, it will be on a Wednesday, Saturday and Monday, but this time instead of 3 runs of week 1 etc I'll do each of those days with 1 week run a day, so instead of it taking 9 weeks, I should take only 4 weeks to complete all the runs, a case of C25K take 2.
All the best allan π
