I have the Garmin 235. Absolutely love it - light as a feather, easy to use, battery lasts ages and the integration with Garmin Connect where all your stats are kept is great. It also has a feature called 'live tracking' so Mrs t_m can see where I am whilst I'm running (proves I didn’t just go to the pub instead of running).

No experience of the other one that you mention unfortunately.

Seconding the Garmin. The Polar also gets good reviews. I like the Garmin Connect app and how smoothly everything seems to work most of the time.
