Which app to use?? B210K?

I’m on week 6 of C25K and already planning the next step. I’ve done 10’s and half’s in the past but due to injury stopped, now getting back into it, so which app do you fellow runners use for the B210K?

Seen a number of them but want recommendations so that I don’t falter on my forward journey.

I’ve had to go right back to basics as I’m that overweight and unfit, but got the bug back and want to keep on running.

Thanks gang 👍🏻

Good morning Taffinator, yeah theres quite a few to chose from out there. The one that I use is the Bridge to 10K podcast, by Bluefin. There is an app but I believe you have to pay for that, being a frugal Yorkshire-man that was never an option lol ;-). It's a 6 week programme with 3 runs / week and what I like about it is that its based on timed runs rather than distance ones. Hope this helps you, good luck with the C25k

Your options are very open - you’ve built up to doing distances before so I won’t do a lecture about a lot of running still to do in C25k 🤣

It depends if you want some structure plans or just some pick n mix guided runs.

Pick n mix: Many use the NHS 5k+ podcasts. Nike app also has some great guided runs too, including Headspace meditation runs.

I am a new runner and wanted more guidance towards 10K. Many do ju-ju’s Magic number plan on the Bridge to 10K forum. My running buddy and I took a week off, did week 9 of C25k again and then decided on ‘Active’ 5k to 10K app (blue background with green ‘10K’ and white ‘K’) because it started at about the level we were at for timed runs, was only 3 days a week, and seemed to follow the recommended pattern of 1 longer run per week and strength/speed intervals on shorter runs. So far so good. I’m doing week 3 of 9 next week :). Enjoy the process of completing the C25k though and enjoy your running 😁👍

Thanks EQ, it was a few years ago since I ran distance ( well walk n ran) and I’m finding the structure of the C25K really beneficial, didn’t realise how unfit and weight is put on till I tried week 2! Lol

Just don’t want to rest on my laurels after hopefully completing C25K and I feel I need the structure.

Thanks for the tips 😊
