As most of you know I’m fairly addicted to these. ☺️ And tomorrow I’m doing the Swansea Parkrun as the penultimate run of my summer tour. I’m dreading the thought of not being able to run these again for another year as I have so much fun doing them😢
Are you planning a Parkrun tomorrow?

I’m going to try to get to our local one. I did my first one last weekend and can see how addictive they could get! Got a busy weekend ahead though so it’s not a definite but I will try my best to make it 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️ 😃 💨
Yes there’s a flat one nearby at Redcar but I might save that til when I’m back at work. It’s either that or some real ParkRun tourism at Fountains Abbey which would be hilly but picturesque. Good luck on your PB challenge 👍🏽
Park run done in 31:48, although my pb is 26:16 I am extremely happy with this as I ran 11km before the park run and started at the back of approx 650 people. Just to let you know I will never do that again lol
Yep - going for a PB tomorrow in Hastings 😁 haven't run it at my own pace for 7 weeks (been helping my son round) so hoping to see a decent improvement 🤞
Oh good luck with that! I’m not expecting a PB tomorrow even though the course is flat as I got lost on my run yesterday and ended up doing 7.5kms instead of an easy 5k and I’m stiff as a board today 😢
Excellent well done you must be pleased. 👍I thought it was still quite hot running in that sunshine I expected it to feel cooler. yes I did it and got a PB 30.49 knocking 59 seconds of my first park run last week😀
Brilliant - well done! Did you see Dame Kelly Holmes? She said well done to me with about 400m to go and ran part of the way in with my ex-husband and my son 😮
Oh no I must have missed her that’s a shame it’s nice that someone so well know gives encouragement to others. Mind you I could have run past the queen and not recognised her. I was really struggling. I’ve got a bit to learn about running ,went out too fast hit the half way mark at 14.25 and that was it nothing in the tank to get me to the finish I really thought I may stop for the first time since starting the C25k just hung on to the line🤪
Not today Dexy - I think he might be running with me again on 1st Sept. Looks like Dame Kelly ran her fastest parkrun today (it's a very flat fast course!) in 17:48 😮
Only two men managed quicker than her today and I think one of them managed to run slightly the wrong course 😂 Phenomenal considering she's in her late 40s and it's not her distance x
Don't worry about that Dexy! Same with my son and his Dad (slower than you were today) she ran some of the way in with them and told him he had to beat his Dad 😂 He had no idea who she was bless him - he just thought it was one of the front runners! I've shown him the videos of her Olympic golds and he's well chuffed 😊
I’m hoping to do the Vogrie parkrun near Edinburgh tomorrow! A rare Saturday off work for me and my husband is driving me there! (35 mins). Will be my second parkrun but first time doing this one! Getting a bit nervous already which is ridiculous!!!! 😀
I didn't even know there was one at Vogrie! Well you learn something new every day. I usually go to the Cramond one, which is very flat and at the mercy of the coastal weather occasionally. I may try Vogrie next time though! I imagine that's a lovely place to run.
I'll be Parkrunning tomorrow. My local one is two laps of the park at Elgin. It will be my second Parkrun. I have even cancelled a hair appointment so I can run My hair is badly needing something done to it but running is more important
I’m looking forward to going to the Burnham one, it’ll be my fourth, can’t believe I was so nervous before my first one now I’m swapping shifts so I can get to it!
I’ll be out for my 6th one at Birkenhead. No summer tour for us, but we enjoy just going to a local Parkrun. Do you not have any local ones you can go to once your summer tour is over? ❤️😎
Swansea parkrun is lovely, flat, flat, flat and a finish on the seafront....have done it as a tourist a couple of times (including last week....) home parkrun is Cambridge.....will be there tomorrow, looking forward to a slightly cooler run! Enjoy! 👍🏃♀️
I’m really looking forward to it and, if I hadn’t got lost yesterday on my run, I might have gone for a PB. Legs are a bit achy today so I’ll just have to see how I feel and go from there.
Hi BrianUK, yes I will be back at Southsea parkrun again tomorrow. It will be nice and flat after last week’s up and down journey through the woods in Hyndburn. The temperature and wind forecast looks good too.
I love doing them now, despite being nervous before my first run a few weeks ago. 😊 It’s such a friendly and supportive event, and I can’t help getting carried away with the enthusiasm! 🏃♂️🏃♀️
I’m off to get my shut eye for tomorrow. I hope it’s a better night’s sleep than last Friday night. Have a great park run everyone wherever it may be. 😃👍 and don’t forget those barcodes! 😳
