Sorry all. I was away with my family and left my phone in the car for the past 2 days. I completely forgot to put up a post this morning on the usual (not)parkrun thread. I didn’t get to run today either. I’ll be doing my (not)parkrun tomorrow.

Hi Damien, we were getting a little worried that you had not posted anything at all today so I am very happy to know that you are OK, I hope you don't mind me taking over your duty today regarding not parkrun, I am happy that you will be doing not parkrun tomorrow.
Hey Damien now we all know you are ok we are pleased to see you post, but the mark of a good leader is that if you aren’t there things carry on as usual and they did 😀
Oh the responsibility 😳 Did my 2nd french (not) Parkrun this morning. 32:50 which is my slowest to date, but, in my defence, I did last week’s route in reverse, which increased my elevation from 52m to 68m. Guess which way I am going next week😂 Enjoy your (not) Parkrun tomorrow
We reckon the thieves got away with around €2000-€2500 worth of stuff (all Mr S’s tools, tv, dvd, music centre, PlayStation and loads of kitchen stuff including emptying the wine rack) but thankfully they didn’t do any damage or break anything, which is pretty miraculous. We’ve filed the report with the police and now waiting for the insurers, although we probably won’t get much because we don’t have any receipts and most of it was over 10 years old!
Oh hi Damien! I checked in every now and then and just assumed you’d been round at your neighbour’s with the whiskey again!! 🤪 Just kidding, don’t feel obliged to post each week, but of course we love it when you do. 🥰
I ran this morning as usual, and had a fun time doing my intervals again. It felt good and I thought I might even be on for another (Not) PR PB, but I was 2 seconds over last week’s time at 36:20. I was still pleased as that included slowing down to avoid and admire a German Shepherd puppy, so it was pretty much an identical run. My goal is sub 36 minutes - unheard of for me on the Common, but we’ll see!
To be fair, I thought it might be the whiskey too but as you’ve never not posted on a post whiskey day I thought there might be more to it. Just very glad it was a positive reason 😊 Al did a fab job as your deputy.
Hope the run has gone well if you’ve done it by now?!!
Thank you. I was out and about with the family again today and did a few jobs around the house, mowed the lawns etc. I’m just in after doing my (not) parkrun. Took it nice and easy. It was a nice slow gentle jog. No PB. But I jogged it all in 33:19. And best of all, I enjoyed it.
A few days without your phone sounds pretty idyllic to me Damienair. So lovely to spend quality time with your family. I won’t be around tomorrow so just to let you know that I ran 35:03 in Southsea with UpTheStanley .
No need to apologise Damien - glad you had a nice couple of days away.
I ganged up with the Southsea crew on Thursday and managed a somewhat dubious 27.18, fuelled by a Garmin which showed me running in the sea at one point ! I assumed that would be this week's (not) parkrun time, but did another intervals session yesterday with an outcome of 27.13 - intervals certainly seem to be helping my pace.
Very well done Jonathan. Yes interval training is great for your pace. I need to get back into interval training too. I am just back from doing my (not)parkrun. I jogged it mice and easy in a time of 33:19. Slow, but I really enjoyed it.
