Well you know me by now, I'm really not a morning runner so off I went just after 1pm for a longer run
Temperature was about 25 even here near the north east coast but I managed to find a decent rhythm early on and fortunately the last 3rd of the run had plenty of shade.
The route took me out of Dinnington north towards Horton Grange, then up to Berwick Hill with its vews across Ponteland and right out to Newcastle. Then a double back past Horton Grange and Brenkley ending up at Seaton Burn where wifey was kind enough to come and get me.
Now to settle down and watch the golf.
Run happy, run safe.

There are some great potential seaside runs up here, I haven't done it yet but Druridge Bay beach must be over 5k long, would be an incredible there and back again run.
That’s a wonderful spot - the beach around Bamburgh is fantastic. Mr E ran the ‘Phoenix 14’ many years ago from Beadnell to Alnmouth- a wonderful route. 😀
Wow 12k in that heat. I’m still recovering from the 12k I did the other morning, where I nearly passed out several times when I stopped, and that was only 15 degrees when I set out!
