I made myself get ready for my run this morning, then just stood in the hall and felt bored. I was trying to work out where to go that would be different, but I wasn't intending to go that far and I've done the routes round here to death.
Hubby enquired as to my pained expression & when I explained he offered to meet me somewhere with the car after my run.
This immediately perked me up. I decided to take a rather convoluted run through the uni grounds and make my way down to the river, where hubby would have walked the dog and be available to taxi me home.
I didn't have a distance in mind, but in the event I realised it was going to end up at 8K, so I added a sneaky extra one as I'm trying to get back up to 10 (then 16).
It was really lovely by the river. Lots of canoes out with instructors shouting at them from their bicycles π² Lots of runners (I always wonder if I'm passing one of you guys!).
All in all, as so often happens, I started out with not much enthusiasm and am now feeling very pleased with myself.
Podcast excellent. Louis Theroux talking to an actress, whose name escapes me, who used to be a scientologist.
Happy Sunday!
