I feel like Iβve still got one foot each side of the bridge at the moment, while I consolidate after C25k. Am a bit confused which side is best to post on for now, so thought Iβd just say a quick hi on this side! ππ
W11R2 (onwards from C25k numbering...) for me this morning was my 2nd Parkrun. Managed a PB with 28mins 38secs, though realised Iβd set off far too quickly when my Runkeeper app gave 4.40 min/km for the first 0.5k!! (Iβm normally around 6 min/k, but got a bit swept up in enthusiasm at the start, after we decided not to start at the back this week!)
Hope to move onto ju-ju- βs Magic 10 plan in a few weeks, after getting more miles on my legs. Will be expecting to slow down a lot to make the longer distances, though.
Hi! Iβm in the same boat. Iβm making most of my posts there where it seems more generally useful and keeping the βOMG, 10k?!?β stuff for in here!
I thought that too, but noticed some people posting over here at our point.
Am just a bit paranoid about upsetting people aiming for 5k still by posting about distance or times, but kind of want to post somewhere to affirm to myself that Iβm continuing... I guess failing that then Iβll just not post until starting Jujus Magic 10 plan.
Thanks Tasha99 - think it helps that our Parkrun is pretty flat and run on tarmac paths/ roads! Iβm not really built for speed, though, so am looking forward to upping distances instead. π
It's getting pretty crowded here on the bridge. Sometimes I get to recognise all the faces. Now and again we get a new boy or girl, then they disappear - maybe over the horizon. Last week one fell in. Anyway I'm still doing my 5 (you know what I mean), three times a week and leaving a towel over my place here. Not as good as moving on, but sure as hell better than quitting.
5k 3 times a week is brilliant, whether you decide to move on or not, Couch2couch! I think weβre welcome to sit here on the bridge for as long as we want. Iβm going to try moving to 10k later, but if that doesnβt workout then Iβll be content keeping up my 5s. Thatβs certainly much better than quitting. Enjoy your runs! ππββοΈπββοΈ
