Woop! Off the IC .... oh no back on it

At last I thought I’m feeling better (some virus that went to my throat and chest). I’ll start again this week. The furthest I’d got was the 7k on jujus plan. So on Tuesday I managed a 4.5 on the treadmill in the gym. Hard work indeed, the struggle came very early on but so good to be moving again. Hurrah I thought I’m going to get through this. On Thursday I took myself outside (rare for me) and managed a 3.7 at an ok pace. Brilliant I thought, I’m going to do more running outside now as I find it harder and I’ve got a 10k race looming, but I am well on my way to making a credible stab at the longer distances. On Friday whilst walking down the road to the wine bar for a rare outing with the girls I tripped over my own foot - yes my own foot - sprawled over the pavement, and ended up with two scabby knees! Oh for the love of God etc etc I thought. Warning ⚠️ scabby photo below. The other knee is much the same. Please note I said walking to. 😂😩😳

Are you sure you were walking to the wine bar and not home from it? 😜

Glad you’re feeling better, steady as you go when running outside Emma 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️😊

Haha no I was walking to - which makes it more ridiculous doesn’t it! 😂

Ouch, that looks sore. I hope it won't stop you getting back out there running. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your evening after your trip!

Well I did enjoy myself thank you Flick and had a few glasses for medicinal purposes! 😉. Next time tho I’m walking in the grass for a softer landing! Noo it won’t put me off - I’ve only got about 6 weeks now to get to 10 before my race so I need to get going. Happy Sunday😊
