Steady as she goes

Currently working on my longer slower runs, completed 8.5km this morning, before it got to warm out there.

Got my pacing pretty much spot on at 7:26 today, very comfortable no drama's 😊, although last week I had an average pace of 7:10 over 7K which was a bit faster than I had planned really. Will stick at 8.5k for 2/3 weeks before going for 10k.

My last 10k was pretty much 2 years ago so a nice milestone for me ... Steady progress is my aim, no races planned just running for myself ...for now 😆

I'm also looking forward to re-bagging that 10k milestone. Nice to see the steady approach is working. I think a 7:26 pace is super respectable, I'm all over the place between 7-10 at the moment. Looking forward to getting that steady feeling again :)

Hi Ruth_canal_runner it is difficult to get back to and hold a steady pace , i guess if it feels comfortable and is a "conversational pace" it is ok .. the usual whatever works for you approach 😊 I am sure you will bag that 10k again soon , it is a great time of year to be out there 😊
