After overlaying for the park run i went for what i thought was a tootle round Barnsley. Thought id go a way not been before, along a few wanky roads too (Debsy) it was already 18degrees and really muggy, then it started to rain, suffered badly with the hills and made it back breathless but managed 5k in under 30m. Ju Ju talked yesterday about everyone having a bad run, todays was mine, dont run on not much sleep, late night chinese food and poor hydration, i got what i deserved. Keep running but Failing to Prepare is Preparing to Fail to quote some wiser man than me!!!
Got What I Deserved!: After overlaying for the... - Bridge to 10K
Got What I Deserved!
I wouldnโt call 5k in under 30 minutes a bad run Guesty! Well done ๐ช๐ฝ
Felt a lot better tash to be honest, took a backward step today. A little jog monday then a bigger run weds hopefully to improve back on the diet too now my daughter gone back to NZ. Aiming for 10k in a few weeks touchwood!
Well done on the 5k, loving the wa*** roads comment!!!!!! But you did it, another run bites the dust eh
๐ฌsorry the wanky roads didnโt help your run ๐๐
I agree the prep the day before can make all the difference. I learnt that lesson last weekend to will be drinking plenty today before running in the morning... water on a Saturday night and alarm clocks on a Sunday... I hardly recognise myself ๐ฑ
"wanky" roads are a pain lol..lol. Hey if you produce that time on a bad run, well done you!! I'm going try that chinese takeout and see if I can match it.
Bad run...? 5k in 30mins..? Doesnโt sound too bad to me. Well done. ๐๐ฝ
Its not a bad time your right but it was the first time i wanted to quit, couldnt breathe and had terrible jelly legs, didnt enjoy that feeling, nearly sick at the end!!
I know it's all relative to what we can do but 5k in 30 mins ๐ญ what dreams are made of ๐ .. well done for making the most of a "cough" bad run.

That doesn't sound nice .. I hope your next run is more pleasant. I have been trying to push myself to run faster and yesterday for a change I set out really slow .. had a great run totally enjoyed it I would say more than any other run. I am sure you will find your happy run next time out ๐
I was supposed to be in Baaaaaarnslet today but cried off. I wanted to be alone ๐ in Derbyshire instead
I intend doing the Parkrun there at some point. There is some seriously good countryside to explore there
