Not sure I was born to run

But thought I'd best stop lurking and say hello to the 10k Bridge folks! A pleasure to be joining y'all!

Managed run 3 of ju ju's 10k programme tonight. It was the 2.5k run and as suggested I tried the speed c25k+ speed podcast as an introduction to intervals.

Wasn't as bad as I feared it might be and i'm glad to say I managed to run through it although I was slowing on the last fast section and sure glad when it stopped even though it was only 16mins.

Looking forward to starting on wk2 on Monday.

it's in the pinned posts. Look up some of ju-ju's other posts to find the start. Sadly it has just finished but you can still follow along.

See my profile too. I summarised the distances each week there.

Its an up to 10k plan Flick, you ideally should be running 5k with ease before attempting to up your distance. The usual route is to consolidate your 30 min runs for a few weeks, and get comfortable doing that, then once you're managing 5k could consider the 10k plan..

No that's fine - I'm not trying to attempt 10k yet. fat chance round here with the hilly bits. I was intending to keep doing the 30 minute runs for now till my speed and distance improve. I didn't realise the program was for 5-10k :)

Ju-Ju is going to begin another 10k programme soon. Keep consolidating in prep.

I run hills here too......can’t get away from them......I embraced hills early on.

At almost 61 im a youngster. But its those hills that made your flatter run easier. I treat myself occasionally and travel to a flatter run. Enjoy!
