OK I got the feeling from responses that I may have too many shoes. So I have started to gather them together and will perform a cull. Some appear to be in hiding and gawd knows what is up the loft. After I took this pic, my better half came home and laughed, then said "what about the sandals, wellies, snowboard boots... and so on? "

Peak shoe pt 2
Ahhh, look at them all lined up looking scared....How could you even think of a cull?
This is hilarious .😂😂
Centipede man without the fangs.🤔
Thanks for the laugh and many more happy miles.
Do you keep usage records for each pair🤔😂😂
I do have the on cloud flyers registered in garmin, so I could add the others, but then I would have to switch each time I changed shoe and not sure that's too easy to do. So no I will just throw them out when they break down/smell bad/can't fit in the shoe wing any more.
It’s good to have a laugh.Thanks.
This might bring tears to my glass eye.🙈😂😂
Always enjoy reading your helpful advice.🌟👏👏
It's no biggie to switch but first of all you have to log them, in equipment I believe. Then, when I upload my run into Garmin there is a just the word "add" click on that and your shoes will be there to click on. (I've got my 4 pairs named and just have to pick the ones I ran I n)
You add the other shoes then just go top right on the run screen and add/remove gear. Then add the shoes you used for that run from your list of gear.
All the non-running shoes don’t count. Clear them to one side, along with the ones relegated to gardening or walking the dog. That leaves you with hardly any! 🤷♀️
Yep that leaves 4 with one more in the post not counting the gym shoes, which you could run in I suppose. So clearly I have hardly any shoes at all.
Obviously. I took one look at the photo and thought, pah, amateur...
No Imelda guilt necessary here
Was thinking about your shoes whilst out for y run this morning. How do you decide which ones to wear?
To be fair, only two/three are in current use. The Mizuno were my first runners but being trail shoes I got the Asics Gt-2000 when I graduated c25k, then getting upto 10k I thought I'd try getting some gait analysis which revealed I really should go up a size to stop blistering the ends of my toes so I got the On Cloud Flyers, but then I decided I needed a larger trail shoe so got the Fujirados. The mizuno's the very muddy ones I will bring out when it's filthy trail xcountry running as per the mudbath race I did in April. The Asics Gt-2000's I just wear every now and again as I feel guilty that they are an under used shoe hehe.
I almost never run in the motorbike books
The fujirados are designed for and well up to mud and wet. Ive been up to my ankles in mud and my feet were still dry. I just run them under the tap to clean the mud off, then pack with newspaper to mop up any wet that splashed in or penetrated
I went for a run in my Asics GT 2000 6 this morning and was reflecting on how good they are. I tend to overlook them as they seem kind of boring to look at and are less plush and comfy when I first put them on compared to others, but for mid to longer runs they are unbeatable, a super-reliable shoe. I have flirted with other brands but Asics always seem to be winners for me.
You dandy!
Believe it or not, I moved home a few months back and I swear I had a big clear out .
I believe you 😂
Wow 😳
Imelda Marcos of the running world you are 😉
Quite clearly, I don’t have enough!
Excellent now whenever my husband asks if I really need another pair of running shoes I can point at this picture (I’ll miss out the bit about a cull). Now if you could just develop a running clothing habit please that would really helpful.......!
nothing wrong with a large shoe collection! And I say that as someone who has a seriously tiny one. No room for more because my OH loves shoes so much he takes up all the room! 😂🤣
