They felt so comfortable, I felt they allowed my whole foot to accelerate I felt my stride easier, felt no stoney terrain underfoot.. and they were bouncy ππ€£πββοΈ
What a difference from my cheaper pairs that have gotten me through so far π
I only intended a 10K and even at that I wondered if this was too far in a new shoe first outing.. but at 8K mark where I'd usually turn off the trail for home I was feeling great..so carried on and finished with a comfortable 12K run with a personal best 10K to boot ππββοΈ
I had also a new MP3 player with me today, with tunes my 22 year old son had loaded I asked for any run tracks preferably 80's /90's some disco ect..
Bloomin heck.. was full of rave ..eat sleep rave repeat tunes π€£π€£
Must admit it was a good tempo to run to, but without my glasses I couldn't see to change the album's, so that's next in the list to sort π
But I'm really happy with my new Brooks.. thanks to everyone for your recommendations .. love love love them β€οΈππββοΈ

So happy for you. Your post will hopefully demonstrate to others pondering the expense the reasons why the rest of us bang on about the importance of proper running shoes. Massive congratulations on your new on. Happy running π€
Well hopefully I get good use from these first π but definitely x
Sparky, youβd better be getting sales commission from Brooks for that wonderful endorsement! Glad to hear the shoes work for you, nothing worse that a rotten running shoe. A good choice of music too, my era is the Rolling Stones & Bob Dylan, though I also like a bit of classical, though I couldnβt run to classical music, the Archerβs perhaps, or the shipping forecast!! No, seriously, I have thought of running to music but Iβll still hang on to listening to the traffic and dogs barking for a while longer. Happy πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
I wish.. lol.. they are worth the expense.. I'm sure they will last the miles πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈThanks Dave π
I was really busy yesterday..it would have taken me ten times as long as it took my son π But to be fair now I've had a chance to look at the album's he's put on there's a fair selection π
And anyway good to keep up with what the younger generation are listening to π€£π€£π€£
Well done on yourPB 10 km especially new Brooks. Did you get the Brooks ghost 13?I have them and really comfortable even for walking which I am at the moment. π
Excellent news and well done on bagging a 10k pb while running a 12k! π Your post really does emphasise they need for decent running shoes. However, I must caution against developing SAS (Shoe Acquisition Syndrome), of which I am a sufferer. π€ͺπ
