Well I did it! This time last year I fractured my ankle during the Aberdeen event. Following a year of physical & mental recovery with huge support from my very patient husband and a fine sports therapist I returned to run it once again. I'm delighted with my time & that I finished with no niggles at all. Thanks also to the members of this forum for your support too. Happy running everyone 😍

Thank you it's a really good event & the weather was ideal too! So relieved to get round injury free 😊

Well done, that’s great news. You must be severely chuffed. πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

I managed to get my time down by trying running faster between lampposts on my short runs. Repeating 6 times only it really worked for me.

Now I've pushed past 10k, I think i will do this.

I only started doing this 3 weeks ago & it really made a difference. I think its because you only do it 6 times it appealed to me being lazy at heart 🀣🀣 you can only try it Flick x

Im definitely trying this. My speed has dropped since my dista ce has increased. As its so hilly here, I dont expect to get up to a really fast pace, but Im sure I could increase it a bit x

We're hilly here too but thankfully we have a nice flat 1 mile prom I can use. Let me know how you get on x
