Hi all I ran my first 10k on Sunday at Glasgow Green for the Stroke Association. Was hard work but so worth it in the end. I also raised £300 for a very worthy cause and one which is close to my heart with both my hubby and dad being victims of stroke albeit both surviving. Hubby had one about 12 years ago and made a great recovery and my dad has had 3 which has knocked his confidence. If you get a chance to run for this great charity do it as the runs are well organised and fun. Also got my first 10k medal. Can I have 10k graduated added to my name please.

Fantastic. Well done and here's hoping it is the first of many :) or are you heading straight to half marathon/marathon training?

I do have a half marathon at the end of May but after the 10k I think it is a step

Too far. I will continue to train for it but think I will consolidate my 10ks first 😳

Congratulations to you! Your first 10K and bling are very special and I'm sure you'll look back at this race fondly. I must say you look surprisingly fresh for someone who's run a 10K race 🙂

Well done that's fantastic 👏 I ran for Stroke Association a couple of weeks ago, my first 10k run, and really enjoyed it. That's impressive fundraising too 👍
