Me run 5k?

I promised myself I would run 5k before I passed 50. I completed c25k a couple of weeks ago and have kept going repeating the final run since then. And for the first time ever today I enjoyed my run!! Never thought I’d see the day. It was a beautiful day and instead of turning back at the halfway bell I kept running walked back to give bonkers dog a bit more time out. Thanks to everyone who posts on this forum It’s so helpful!

Well done! I too decided I wanted to do c25k just after turning 49 last October. From a non-runner I can now do 10k and have run 5k in well under 24 minutes. It's amazing how much you can achieve in a short time.

Wow that is amazing. 10k is a lot more than 5k ... well done! And thanks for replying!

10k seemed an impossible target when I completed c25k, but as the weeks go by and you get fitter it becomes very possible :)

I also completed C25k a couple of weeks ago

I am definitely not as committed as some but enjoy my runs once they are done

I have not managed to run 5K in 30 minutes yet 😂

That will come in time. I was doing just over 5k in 30 mins when I graduated, but have since managed 5k in 23:22

I will let you know when it happens 👍🏻 but in the meantime don't hold your breath 😂
