Morning, wanted to do a 10k today but I stopped at 5. Down here it’s already 16 degrees (about 10am) and there’s no wind so I called it a day. Wimping out or quitting is what it felt like but I decided to remember I couldn’t run even 5k ,3 months ago.
Hope your all well. If your thinking of running you might want to wait till a bit later...
Take care all

It's 13C, overcast and breezy up here ... heading out for intervals shortly, as it's due to rain here this afternoon / eve. Don't feel like you're wimping out ... remember most of the population won't even go for a walk never mind run 5k today! xx
I only did a 5 and a quarter k today too. Mainly because my ex husband is coming to see me. I could have gone further as he has now announced he wont be here till after 1pm (this is one of the reasons we aren't still together!).
Now I have fully switched to technical t-shirt and shorts only I am finding it really rather nice in the heat. 16c sounds quite cool tbh Soon I reckon I will see 16c and start to reach for a coat lol.
It was 16 on saturday for my parkrun, and that was the first time ive run in warmer weather. I found it tough and was getting too hot so I can relate to your experience this morning. Im happier in the cool - especially if I’m pushing it at parkrun.. since then i’ve been out earlier in the day when it’s cooler and had a lovely 10k earlier this week.
