I’ve been aiming to get to 10km for last few weeks, only managed 8km a couple of times, looked at jujus 10k plan but never managed to strictly follow it, I tend to run twice a week, a 5km and a slightly longer, maybe 6 or 7km.
Have suffered a few niggles, pain in my groin - no ignoring that one - so took it easy for a couple of weeks.
Anyway, felt up for it yesterday so ventured out in the pouring rain, determined to try for maybe 9km and less than a couple of miles from home the car had a flat tyre, by the time the lovely AA man had come to my rescue I’d gone off the idea 🙁
So up this morning bright and early, unfortunately with a sore throat 🙀 but determined to give it a go. By the time I got to 4km I started to get into my stride and I knew then I was going for the big 10km 😉 the last Km was a struggle but blimey the feeling when my Garmin beeped at the 10km mark was AMAZING. So chuffed - I’ll be buzzing all day. I completed c25k on 7th May last year, how amazing this running addiction is - to think I can now run 10km!! Happy running lovely people 😊
