New routes

So this morning I dragged the kids out for a walk by the canal to look at the boats and the locks. We’ve lived here for more than six months and not been down there before, mainly due to the terrible weather.

This was not an excuse to recce a new running route. Oh no, definitely not 😀😀

I think I got away with it. Youngest even conceded that watching someone working the lock was quite good (after having walked the towpath shouting how boring it was at the top of his voice beforehand).

I shall of course be running that route next weekend now 😀 Bit muddy so the trail shoes will get an outing.

Hee hee! I'm constantly considering new routes when I'm put and about or walking with my other half (and when I'm stuck it traffic to be honest).

I've found I do like running near water - it's very soothing ... though also usually quite flat so wonder if that's another reason I'm drawn to it!

How lovely. You live in a beautiful place!

That looks like a lovely place to run - and any run that means getting out the trail shoes is a good run in my books! Enjoy!🙂

Yes love my trail shoes. Didn’t know they were trail shoes when I bought them (early days of C25K and bought without gait analysis or any sort of advice) but they’ve come in handy since (and I now have proper road shoes too). I managed to keep the midland main line railway out of shot on the picture but even with that it looks like will be good 😀 Saw a few runners too which is a good sign.

Haha, I'm the same. If I'm not running I'm thinking of places to run....or running gear I could get 😁

Don’t get me started on gear. My latest a few weeks ago was a Garmin GPS watch and I am smitten with it. Such a great “free” sport isn’t it 😀
