I am taking Mr Razouski for his Christmas present on Wednesday and Thursday, staying at Hintlesham Hall near Ipswich and so that he can go off and do some clay pigeon shooting. This is not my bag at all, so I was hoping someone might suggest a nice route where I can run while he's busy.

Alton Water is a 20 minute drive from Hintlesham Hall; it's an outdoor water sport venue with an amazing 8 mile track for biking/running/walking ~ I love it there and need to revisit! Would recommend, check out their website 🤗

Nice! Hintlesham Hall is lovely 😀. You can probably explore trails in that area i.e footpaths around the adjoining golf course or if you want to look further, then Chantry Park on the West of Ipswich offers good trail routes. Enjoy!

You could do an explorer run: just set off and run the local area. It's a good way of finding your way around. Just beware of using Google Maps to get back though, there seems to be an inbuilt propensity to make runners run up unnecessary hills on the way back...!
