Didn't quite manage my planned 10K today. The horrible Scottish wind was fighting against me the whole time, taking my breath away. So after 3K, I called it a day, walked down to the beach and took a stroll for 20 minutes to soak in the sea air- the wind not quite such a nuisance now that I was free to enjoy it and not think of it as a running ailment. My headphones also died, so after my wander, I ran "naked" for the first time for the 3K back and then some to get up to about 7K before calling it a day. It wasn't the 10K I had shot for but it was all I felt I could manage battling against that wind, and taking a few minutes to stop and take stock whilst looking at the sea will never be wasted.
It was not the run I wanted but it was the ... - Bridge to 10K
It was not the run I wanted but it was the run I needed
That sounds like a good run and time with nature which is the best therapy ever. Well done, and what a gorgeous view too 😎
Well done though...you still got out there & did it & not in the easiest of conditions 😊
Thank you 😊
A great 7k in tough conditions with that wind..lovely views.... enjoy your weekend, that 10k will wait til another day😊xxx
Lovely photo. And well done on the 7K. You're not in any hurry and the 10K will wait.
You ran with nature, how cool is that! Well done for battling the wind.
7k in the wind is 7 hard k! Plus you got that view! 🙂
It may not have been your planned run, but it sounded nicely therapeutic. Great job getting out there.
Never a wasted run ever, it’s more time and kms in the running bank. Sometimes our planned long distances don’t always pan out and then other times they just do!That view is wonderful and such an encouragement for next time
7k is good and probably counts as double due to the horrible weather conditions. Well done.
Well done on a tough run, and on recognising when changing your plans is the right thing to do. What a beautiful view.
I love running by the sea but the wind can be very challenging!
Weather looks like it's getting better from Wednesday (as it typically does after the Easter weekend)!
Great photo - the sea looks so calm despite the wind!
