I wrote the other day about letting the SAD gremlins get to me, so yesterday I remained “er indoors” and did an exercise DVD and some strengthening exercises, but like the song says “What a difference a day makes” so jumped in the car and drove 10 minutes away to the Pauatahanui (try and say that after a couple of wines) Inlet. Actually I struggle pronouncing it at the best of times. A lovely day and 16 degrees a new place to run yippee! It looks pretty desolate but there’s a track around the reserve and a boardwalk through it with birdwatching keeps. Was so good to be out again, didn’t see much in the way of wildlife, bar several native pied stilts and 2 Canadian Geese, but come Spring, the place will be teeming and the houses up on the hill don’t spoil the peace and quiet. Happy Running everyone. 😎

It's true! Never know weather like it in old Blighty! Seems to be a bit cooler at the moment...Definitely helps with running 😊

What a relief that must be for you, it has been so hot, I hope it stays cooler for a little longer. I grumble often (sorry) about the cold here at the moment, think you runners in the UK are amazing 👏🏻

Yeah but soon you will be all toasty and warm and we'll be moaning about running in the rain as only Brits can moan! 😆

It looks gorgeous there, Lexi! Glad you got out! 😊❤️🏃‍♀️

Sounds like we almost had similar running weather for once today (though the temps here have crept up a bit to the 20’s now). Just think how you’ll be enjoying the warmer weather while we all start moaning about it being freezing! 😂❤️

I’m looking forward to summer, I hope its as good as yours, I read today that your heatwave could go on until October - crikey! Yes its a lovely area, my late Mum and Dad lived here in a place called Whitby, I used to love driving round the bays to visit them. Enjoy those summer days for a bit longer I hope. X

Hello you, lovely to see you and the EJB’s again. Can’t blame Bram Stoker taking his holidays in Whitby gorgeous place and fish and chips to die for!

Oh, that looks lovely, and well done for beating those gremlins x

Thanks Flick, those blimmin gremlins they creep up on me, but yesterday did my head and heart good. Its a beautiful place and I’ve decided to run a new area once a week with photos. So many places, so close and I run next to a railway track? 🤔 hmm! X
