First run for 12 days- since my back started sulking. I have been working really hard with the rehab exercises and wanted to see how it felt. I took it a bit gingerly to begin with and it felt harder than my last run...in fact I felt like I had regressed several weeks. The back was fine however...Hallelujah and Swing Low Sweet Chariot.

I chugged on and did 5k. Not quick and not pretty at a smidgeon under 37 mins/7.2mins per Km. But, most importantly, not painful around the old lumbar region. That'll do.

That’s great, and well done. It’s so good when you don’t feel the pain anymore!!

Great to hear the back is recovering. I am lucky with mine in that running seems to help it.

Time to test out those new routes you noodled out with the dogs?

Oh, excellent. Long may it last. And dont denigrate the time and pace - I would love to be slow like you!
