What a gorgeous riverside run. I wish I had the inclination to do more daylight runs, but the dark suits my thinking process I find.
You want to try snowboarding though, put all those squats to good use and help strengthen the glutes and calves for running. Skiing is all onepieces and all the hip nonsense will wreck your running form
