Just when they thought they had recovered from this morning's run, I impose 20 squats on my legs. I'm sure it will all be worth it in the long run, or should I say when I do my next long run?
Update - the whole family (except the cats) have completed day 1. Hubby has creaky knees 😮
Phew - 20 done at 23.51 (afternoon/evening shift at work!). Great instructions, I think I wasn't using quite the right technique before. Thanks Rignold!
It means I stick with my physio instructions too.....she gave me squats some weeks ago to do daily. Similar instructions to those provided by yourself I am very happy to report,
Er.... no I don't. I forgot to start them yesterday (not a good start 🙂 ) so I've done 20 today and tomorrow is 30! Yikes. I can pose in the gym and look at myself in all the big mirrors.
I did that this morning. As we are past the 12th there was only me and one girl n the whole gym, so I could indulge my inner narcissist to the hilt while doing shoulders.
I was actually too intimidated by the girl who was there today to do any posing. She dwarfed me musclewise and her workout intensity put me to shame too
no. As long as it is not painful, it is probably just cavitation. Like the clicking noise your knuckles make. It is just carbon dioxide being released in little bubbles in the synovial fluid with the change in joint pressure. The old wives tale that it will cause arthritis has no support in research.
If it is making a grinding noise or causing pain then it is a different matter.
