Hurrah, it's nearly the weekend and to celebrate, today in the squat challenge there will be cake and cava and massages from scantily clad fluffmuffins.

this may, in fact, not be entirely true. But there will be skwaats. Oh yes, plenty of skwaats, so hie thee over to the challenge page and get those glutes a-firin'...

Finding squats a bit addictive. I’ve gone a bit off plan and doing 50 before breakfast.

Oh Noes! Going off plan! Death, disaster and injury couch loom! Any deviation from the plan will result in your ass falling off!

But srsly: well done. Good work. You're going to love next week.

Why do I feel a sense of trepidation......

The legs are doing fine. The arms: nope. Still flapping.

My neck isn't liking it yet... haven't sussed the selfie video yet which may contain the answers.

And really don't like the sound of having to move off the loo next week.

you may continue to use the loo for its primary purpose

Hi Rigs, those felt more controlled, but I became aware of my breathing...

In on the way down, out on the way up, or the other way around?

Thanks😊xx

I did diddly squat. I had a day off. I thought it was no squats day. Ok so double squater duty for me tomorrow.

If only there were some way of knowing. Like update posts on here and on the blog... Fear not, you can catch today while everyone else is having a day off and playing football. It will be like being in detention. But no need for double squats. And you do not have to write lines.

I noticed this challenge before I graduated C25K but dismissed it - I'm not ready, it's not for me, etc. But your posts keep catching my eye. I've just read the two introductory posts, and I was wondering whether a complete newbie could add this to her running consolidation or if I'm better off just building my speed and distance for now.

Thanks.

Absolutely. Everybody should be doing squats. It is designed for absolute beginners and will strengthen your legs for running.

Thanks - are YOU Billy Rhomboid? (Or shouldn't one ask, like the Guardian's Secret Footballer?)

Okay, I understand a bit better now. May be joining you soon...

It’s good fun Lizz. Watch out for addiction though, squats are the crack cocaine of exercise.
