Hi completed 5.5k today , longest run ever completed, start of the 10k plan with Ju-ju-, only a 5k and a 2.5 k run to go this week. Though I would do the longest run first as I know it’s easier week ahead especially as I’m working nights end of the week x
Ran 8.65km this morning, very enjoyable first run with some variation of pace to try and build stamina. Looking forward to completing the challenge this December. Keep going everyone!
I've just spent a lovely weekend with my sister. We got out for a 5k run on Saturday morning and then 8k this morning. I mostly run on my own so it's really nice to have company. I've signed up for a half marathon at the end of May so I will need to keep running over the winter.
Felt really tired the last few weeks and now I've sprained my ankle (again!) I had entered a 5 mile Pudding Run this Sunday too. No running for a few weeks now.
5.85k last night really odd that even though i have slowed my pace right down i find it hard going to start but when i stopped i could have carried on ... i know that the time i run i really don't want to go on my usual flatish route as it isn't well lit and that my "winter" route although well lit is hilly ... still an enjoyable run and a cracking clear night sky (eventually) but would appreciate any advice on what i could still be doing wrong... breathing/pace seem fine i don't listen to music any more so i can hear what effort i am putting in, i am not in any great rush but it would help to have some pointers ... thanks
Just done my third run this week as part of the 10k challenge so that’s me done this week - yay! Jolly chilly cheeks this morning though - if you know what I mean. Brrrr - hope Santa brings me some fleece lined running tights!
