Thanks everyone for your kind words of encouragement. ( Pompous tw*t that I am). As usual I managed to mess up an attempt to get down to 35 mins for 5 k. I need warming up " big time" before i run,( or P D rules the run). so on Saturday I took my mountain bike out first for a gentle 20 mins warm up ........ which then turned into a "burn up". Reverting to being the pompous tw*t. " Which turned out to be exillerating / time consuming and ffff .... n. exhausting...".

So much for my duathlon training.
